What is ClearCandidate?
This platform aims to offer:
1. Access
Endorsements create a direct connection between the community and the candidate. The candidate is required to listen and respond.
2. Transparency
A public change log tracks exactly how a candidate's views evolve based on constituent input, promoting accountability.
3. Community-Sourced Solutions
Who better to fix the problems than us? Our collective skills and experience can solve problems from the local to the federal level.
How It Works
Slow discussion
Community members get one post and one support per week to ensure a focus on what actually matters. After a week, the ability to post resets.
Direct connection entry
The network grows by allowing members to invite nine people they know and trust to keep the community grounded. The new members in turn get nine invites to grow the community.
Accountability
Since every user is connected to someone they know, a healthy environment is maintained by having users take a personal responsibility for the community.
Mandatory response
When an issue reaches 25% support from active users, the candidate is required to provide a direct, public answer.
No personal data
While the immediate community connections are known, a member remains largely anonymous to the rest of the network.
